1. Men can be only ruled by dogmatic affirmations 2. Dogmatic affirmations do not reflect reality well So, basically, every ruling ideology must be detached from reality - by necessity (otherwise, it can never rule) Over the time, the gap only grows, resulting in a collapse

The first generation of rulers may keep in mind this gap between reality and dogma exists ("yes, dogma says so, but actually..."). The second generation will not. The second generation is actually very much more dogmatic, and in a stupid way, seeing any nuance as a high treason.
As dogma becomes more and more rigid, it reflects reality worse and worse. Over time, it becomes completely detached from it, and the gap becomes impossible to ignore, because of the bitter failures all around To not notice it, you must be either a fool or a hypocrite
The ruling elites have very few fools, actually. Almost everyone there is of an average intelligence, or above. Exceptions are rare. And, as absorption into the elite depends on not noticing the dogma is all false, the fourth generation will all consist of the hypocrites.
