Like any kid growing up in the 90s, Hulk Hogan was my hero. It’s hard to count the number of amazing memories we all have : from slamming Andre ( before my time but iconic and arguably made WrestleMania what it is ) to being the third man for nWO to having all of Toronto cheer for him and boo The Rock to many more. Pro wrestling wouldn’t be what it is today without the Hulkster. I got to meet him one time about a decade ago and though he must have heard it a million times, he said he loved my version of “Whatchoo gonna do brother…” and made my day. More than anything, he represented a heroic ideal of America, one that transcended beyond saying your prayers and eating your vitamins.
