I used to believe that AI was going to lead to the death of the desktop to phone (especially inside productivity) but now am actually just convinced we are going to require desktops a lot more as the usefulness per pixel on the screen is SO valuable as you're multitasking with agents. It pays off in 2 ways: context collection AND the speed at which you can process + input information back. The only thing that can rival it is probably visual screen renderings on smart glasses which are quite a way out and are a completely different compute architecture. I now believe desktops are actually going to have a massive comeback against the phone instead.

I think GitHub will need to change drastically as git is no longer the correct protocol with how fast codebases changes due to loads of cursor generated code, especially now that it's getting increasingly accurate with the release of grok 4 - fascinating problem. How to solve?

I used @grok 4 to start exploring variations of Einstein's final notes. Built a physics simulator in PyTorch to start testing theories recursively, inspired by world modeling. You can just run instances of this locally. Been up since the launch building this (open source! MIT)
