2. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. When I attended YC startup school around a year ago, one point @christinacaci emphasized in her talk was to 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘴. Our customers considered bug catching as a vitamin, not a painkiller. Their core workflows are stress tested by engineers to the max, and we realized that they were okay with not having our tool. The biggest telltale sign was when we went on vacation and intentionally shut off our product for half a week. None of our customers messaged us.
