with meditation practice your average "micro" experience can become very very good a lot of people are motivated by the discomfort they feel in the micro, in the moment to moment flow of their lives. this can mostly go away if you meditate a lot but this doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't have macro goals this trough of motivation is a common experience after meditating a while and it's better thought of imo as an opportunity to rewire the backend of how you get to where you want to go... such that (e.g. creativity, or hard work and achievement, or relationships, etc.) are more enjoyable and fun throughout
