When hiring comms people, look for:
1. Vibes: do they spark joy, evince excellence, command respect?
2. Instincts: can they think on the spot, ask the right questions, make good calls?
3. Personal communication skills: are they articulate, persuasive, charming, good storytellers?
Everything else can be taught
